Washington Adventist University

Montgomery County’s only four-year private educational institution

Washington Adventist University (WAU), a private, faith-based, accredited institution of higher learning, is located near the nation’s capital in scenic and historic Takoma Park, Maryland. WAU has been serving the community’s educational needs since 1904. Its School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) was established over 35 years ago to provide a flexible educational experience to help students complete their degrees and maximize career opportunities.

Enrolling in the SGPS places students on an accelerated pathway to degree completion. Each class is offered one evening a week in an eight-week session, allowing them the opportunity to finish their degrees in as little as 18 to 24 months. With small class sizes, our faculty who are experts in their fields are able to provide the personalized attention that you need to thrive and achieve success.

The WAU and LCC partnership provides students with the advantage of completing their first two years at LCC through Prince George’s Community College or Howard Community College. Students are also able to transfer credits from any other accredited college/university. The third and fourth years of the bachelor’s degree would be completed through WAU.

See yourself succeed at WAU. . . we can!
